April 7-8: Vicksburg Riverfest in Vicksburg, MS

By Matt Diehl, March 31, 2017

Local Events

Celebrating its 30th Anniversary, the Vicksburg Riverfest will return to historical downtown Vicksburg during the first weekend of April. Offering a variety of entertainment including live music and street performers, Riverfest will also feature an arts & crafts fair, food booths and kids activities. The festival is known for its fun, family-friendly atmosphere and has drawn over 10,000 visitors in the past1.

As a proud sponsor of Riverfest since 2013, OneMain is excited to be part of the festivities. We’re particularly excited to support a local organization this year by collecting food donations for the Storehouse Food Pantry. Cathy Bowles, Branch Manager of the Vicksburg branch and OneMain employee of nearly 19 years, will be leading our efforts for the event:

“In addition to being a sponsor, we’ll have a company booth in the Arts & Crafts fair on Saturday. Employees from several Mississippi and Louisiana branches have been invited to help give out promotional items and host a drawing to win four framed pictures. Our team members are also thrilled to support the Storehouse Food Pantry, which feeds the hungry in Vicksburg and surrounding area.”

When asked what she looks forward to the most, Bowles spoke about touching base with the community: “I look forward to meeting and greeting current and potential customers, raising donations for a local charity and promoting OneMain as a local company that cares about their communities.”
