The Pulaski Yankees, a minor league affiliate of the New York Yankees, will be hosting an event at their home stadium on Saturday, August 27th. Named after the stadium, Calfee Park, Calfee Gives Night will be dedicated to raising awareness of local philanthropic organizations. Gates will open at 5:30PM ET, 1.5 hours before the first pitch.
Springleaf will participate as a co-sponsor of Calfee Gives Night this year. Sponsorship proceeds will allow non-profit organizations to market their cause at no cost. Representatives from the non-profits will hand out materials and educate attendees on their mission and how they contribute to the community. Attendees can find the booths set up in the lower concourse of the stadium.
There will also be a food and clothing drive during the event. Any fan who donates a non-perishable food item or an article of clothing will receive $1 off their ticket or an item at the concession stand. The New River Valley Salvation Army will have shopping carts at the gates and throughout the park to accept donations.
