TRACK: Talladega Superspeedway
RACE: Sparks Energy 300 (113 laps / 300.58 miles)
DATE: Saturday, April 28, 2018
• Elliott Sadler’s third-place finish at Richmond brought the No. 1 JR Motorsports team its sixth top-five finish of the season, the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash prize and a qualifying position for Talladega’s Xfinity Dash 4 Cash event.
• In four of the last seven NXS races at Talladega Superspeedway, Sadler has either started from first (2011, 2012) or claimed the victory (2014, 2016)—the most of any series regular. In addition, the Virginia native has four top fives and six top 10s in just nine NXS starts at the track.
• In his last three starts at traditional restrictor-plate races, Sadler has finished runner-up, narrowly missing the victory in each event.
Quote from Elliott Sadler: "Restrictor-plate racing with JR Motorsports is one of my favorites. Talladega is such a fun track and my guys always unload a fast racecar. We’ve had great races there in the past and we have a lot of momentum coming off another top-five finish and winning the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash $100,000 at Richmond. Our team just missed the win at Daytona—which drives us even more to get our OneMain Financial Chevrolet to Victory Lane at Talladega. This weekend, we want to bring home both the race win and Xfinity Dash 4 Cash prize."
