OneMain is proud to announce our partnership with Scholly, a college scholarship search platform. Both organizations are teaming up to create educational content, tools and tips on scholarships and college costs. Additionally, OneMain has sponsored 50,000 free downloads of the Scholly mobile app for customers, community college partners and nonprofit organizations.
Sheldon Caplis, Director of Community Engagement at OneMain, is excited for what the partnership will offer:
“Attending college is an important step towards financial security and it’s a step many of our customers are unable to take due to a lack of resources or understanding of just what support may be available to help them. OneMain is committed to helping our customers build their credit and increase their financial awareness and this partnership with Scholly is a natural extension of our goal to make our customers’ lives better.”
Founded in 2014, Scholly gained widespread attention after one of its founders, Christopher Gray, struck a deal on the NBC show, “Shark Tank.” To date, Scholly has helped college students all over the nation find over $50 million in scholarships.
Gray also shared his passion and excitement for the partnership:
"Scholly is teaming up with OneMain to give students the financial resources necessary to attend their dream school and beyond. We're happy to be working together to make students, not money, first."
As we move forward to support and educate our communities across the country, content topics will include:
- College costs
- Financial benefits of a scholarship
- Where scholarship money comes from
- How to find and win scholarships
- Stories and advice from scholarship winners
- Tools that may help you reach your financial goals
- Money saving tips
