September 8-10: Hampton Beach Seafood Festival in Hampton, NH

By Matt Diehl • September 05, 2017

Voted "One of the Top 100 Events in North America" over a dozen times, the Hampton Seafood Festival has been satisfying seafood lovers for nearly 30 years.1 With an estimated attendance of 150,000 visitors over three days, it's also one of the most prominent events in the northeastern United States.2

There are many attractions that make the festival popular, such as live music, culinary chef demonstrations and skydivers. Eighty arts & crafts vendors will also be selling locally made products on-site and children can enjoy rides, face painting and games in Kiddieland.

The main draw, however, is the food. Sixty of the area's top restaurants will be serving up all of their seafood specialties. Whether you have a taste for fried clams, shrimp and lobster, or non-seafood items like BBQ ribs and desserts, the food court has something for everyone.

As the main sponsor of the festival for the fourth consecutive year, OneMain is proud to support this exciting event once again. Idah Snee, district manager of the area and OneMain employee of 34 years, will be leading our efforts throughout the entire weekend:

"I will be at the festival from 9 am Friday to 7 pm Sunday night. My responsibilities include a small speech during the opening ceremony, hosting Sponsor Night on Saturday and coordinating the efforts at our company booth. We will have a large presence of local employees with volunteers from branches in: Nashua, Hooksett, Keene, Wolfeboro Falls, Concord, Rochester, Portsmouth and Belmont. In addition to sponsoring the festival, we are also supporting the Boys and Girls Club of North Hampton Beach by hosting a fundraiser and accepting donations of school and art supplies."

When asked what she looks forward to the most, Snee spoke about interacting with the crowd and local businesses.

"The festival attracts up to 150,000 guests, so it's a great networking source. It also brings in local businesses and vendors, and I enjoy getting to know local merchants. Best of all, I get to speak to current and potential customers at every opportunity."
