Community Engagement

We believe that a branch should be more than just a building in your neighborhood. At OneMain, we encourage our team members to participate actively in their local communities. Through volunteering and philanthropy, we strive to fulfill our commitment to our customers and the communities in which we live and work.

Engaged Citizens

Our commitment to local communities starts with our team members, who drive our success and support both local and national organizations. Every year, they volunteer thousands of hours, participate in hundreds of local events, and make donations to a variety of causes that make a difference in cities across the country. Whether they’re organizing a coat drive, participating in a community fundraiser, or responding to an unexpected event, our team members are quick to act when their neighborhoods are in need.

Charitable Giving

Engaging in our communities is a key part of OneMain’s mission. We proudly support dozens of organizations, including United Way, Junior Achievement, and other organizations that make a significant impact on the personal and financial well-being of people across the country.

We also believe in supporting the causes that matter to our team members. That’s why we double every personal contribution our team members make to eligible charitable organizations. Donations of at least $25 are matched dollar for dollar up to $1,500 every year for each qualified team member.

OneMain financial education workshop

We invite neighbors to our branches for financial education workshops, open houses, and more.

Financial Education

We spend time with our customers to help them understand the loan options we offer and select a loan that fits their needs, but our support of financial literacy extends beyond our branch walls. We’re proud to partner with the American Financial Services Association (AFSA) to offer programs like MoneySKILL, a personal finance education course that is free to everyone, not just our customers.

We’ve also teamed up with Scholly, a college scholarship search platform to create educational content, tools and tips on scholarships and college costs. Additionally, we’ve sponsored 50,000 free downloads of the Scholly mobile app for customers, community college partners and nonprofit organizations. Providing consumers with tools and knowledge to help them make sound financial decisions is one of our top priorities.

Driving Competition

We’re teaming up with fan favorite NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler once again in 2017. Come see us on the track at Xfinity Series events. Keep up with our schedule and all our racing news at OneMainRacing.
