Text Messaging (SMS/RCS) Terms and Conditions

Opt-In & Consent:

You're receiving OneMain text (RCS /SMS) messages because you opted in when you applied for a OneMain loan. We send messages related to your application and servicing of your OneMain loan account and BrightWay credit card.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Text Messaging Servicing Description:

Rich Communication Services (RCS)

If your device and carrier support RCS, and you have RCS chat features enabled, you may receive RCS messages from OneMain. These messages may include updates about your application, servicing of your OneMain loan account or BrightWay credit card, and promotional messages. RCS provides secure, encrypted messaging between supported devices and networks.

RCS messages from OneMain servicing areas are sent through verified business profiles known as sender agents. When you receive an RCS message from a OneMain sender agent, our name, logo, and contact details are displayed in your phone’s messaging app, helping confirm that the message is authentic and from a trusted source.

Text STOP to stop receiving RCS messages. After you text "STOP," we will send you a text to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. This will unsubscribe you from all OneMain texts. If you want to stop receiving other communications, please call 877-550-6246.

Short Message Service (SMS)

If your device and carrier do not support Rich Communication Services (RCS), or you do not have RCS chat features enabled, you may receive SMS messages from OneMain.

Although we protect the information you send us as much as we can control, we cannot guarantee that information sent over SMS messages is completely confidential. Therefore, transmission of information to you and to us over SMS message is at your own risk. To protect your privacy and the security of any sensitive info, please don’t send confidential information to us by SMS message. Instead, please call us, visit one of our branches or send by U.S. mail.

SMS messages from OneMain are sent through short codes (5 or 6-digit numbers). Each short code is used for a different set of messages, including updates about your application, servicing of your OneMain loan account or BrightWay credit card, and promotional messages.
