Each customer's loan terms are decided on an individual basis, taking into account each customer's unique situation and needs. Loan decisions are made based on a variety of factors, including credit history, income, and availability and value of collateral (if applicable).

Yes. You may be able to receive a larger loan by reapplying with a co-signer and/or with collateral of sufficient value. Call us today at 1-800-961-5577 to speak with a loan specialist and discuss your options.

If your application was turned down, you will receive a letter by email or physical mail explaining the reasons behind the decision.

Examples of accepted collateral include:

  • Automobiles
  • Trucks
  • Motorcycles
  • Boats
  • Campers
  • RV's

All collateral will undergo appraisals to determine whether it is of sufficient value.

Additionally, vehicles used as collateral must be insured against physical damage for the term of the loan.

Active duty military, their spouse of dependents covered by the Military Lending Act may not pledge any vehicle as collateral.

Because the collateral is securing your loan, the collateral must be insured in case it needs to be replaced or repaired. The full coverage ensures that the entire value of the collateral is protected.

The amount of time to apply for and receive a loan varies based on what time you submit your application, the number of documents required in order to approve your application, and how long it takes to receive those documents, among other factors.

Average lengths of time for the online application process (may vary depending on your circumstances):

  • Completing the application and receiving a decision: Less than 10 minutes.*
  • Signing the agreements and receiving funds by Check: If approved, as soon as the same day.
  • Signing the agreements and receiving funds by Prepaid Debit Card: As soon as the same day if approved. Prepaid card disbursements are limited to the first $10,000 of the loan amount and are available immediately upon activation of the prepaid card. Prepaid cards are not available in all locations and are not available to active duty military, their spouse or dependents covered by the Military Lending Act.
  • Signing the agreements and receiving funds by Automated Clearing House (ACH) disbursement: ACH disbursements can take approximately 1 to 2 business days depending on the time of loan closing.

    Send a check made out to OneMain to the PO Box listed on your monthly statement. Log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account to access your monthly statement.

  • By OneMain Mobile App

    Download the OneMain Mobile app, available for iOS and Android. Once installed, click "Make a Payment" and follow the instructions provided.

  • At any Walmart Service Desk

    Take your loan account number to a Walmart Service Desk to make a CheckFree payment.**

* Please note there is a fee of $2.95 assessed by our third party payment processor, ACI, for every debit card transaction. This fee is assessed separately from your loan payment and will be shown separately on your debit card statement as "ORCC Payment Convenience Fee."

** Walmart charges a fee of $1.00 - $1.50 for each OneMain loan payment made at a Walmart service desk.

If you miss a payment, please call 1-800-961-5577 to discuss your options with one of our loan specialists.

Payments are due monthly, but you can make payments as often as you like.

To make payments automatically every month using Direct Pay, log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account and enroll in Direct Pay. To make a one-time payment today, please visit the Make a Payment page.

To request a change to your payment date, please mail a letter or send an email with the change request to your local branch.

To submit a request via email, please contact your local branch to obtain the appropriate email address.

Unfortunately, payment due date changes cannot currently be requested over the phone.

Please be advised due date changes cannot be made:

  • Before your first payment is due if it will result in the number to days to the first payment exceeding 45 days
  • When an account is delinquent/past due

Please note that OneMain reserves the right refuse any request to change the payment due date, which includes multiple requests and requests on certain types of accounts.

There are three ways to request a payoff amount for your loan:

  1. Log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account and click "Request a Payoff." You will be asked to provide the reason for the payoff and the number at which we can contact you. Within 24 hours of your request, a loan specialist from OneMain will call you to provide you with your payoff information.
  2. Call us today at 1-800-961-5577. To pay off your loan, you can also call our Customer Service number. A OneMain loan specialist will ask you to provide the reason for the payoff and then provide you with your payoff information.
  3. Contact your local branch that services your loan. To pay off your loan, you can also call the phone number of the branch servicing your loan. To find this number, refer to your monthly statement, which you can access after you log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account. A OneMain loan specialist will ask you to provide the reason for the payoff and then provide you with your payoff information.

Generally, No. Please refer to your loan documents for more information. Generally, if you want to pay off your personal loan early, you can do so any time and OneMain will not charge you a prepayment fee.

To pay off your loan early, you can:

  • Make a one-time payment for the total outstanding balance
  • Pay an extra amount when you make your regularly scheduled monthly payment

OneMain will do its best to release its lien on a motor vehicle within 15 days of receipt of the payoff amount. Please note that the release may take longer in certain circumstances.

Direct Pay is a free service that automatically deducts your payment from your checking or savings account each month.

To enroll in Direct Pay, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account.
  2. Click “Enroll in Direct Pay” located on the Account Summary page under the Billing and Payment Settings section.
  3. Enter the required information in the Enroll for Direct Pay page and click “Continue.”
  4. Review your selections on the Enrollment Summary page.
  5. Read the Direct Pay terms and electronically sign the Enrollment Form for Direct Pay.

You will receive an email once your Direct Pay enrollment is complete. Please note it may take up to 24 hours for your enrollment to process in our system.

To cancel Direct Pay, please send written notification to the branch that services your loan.

To find the address for the branch that services your loan, refer to your monthly statement which you can access after you log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account.

To change your address, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account.

  3. Click "Edit Contact Information".
  4. Update your address or other contact information on the Edit Contact Information page.

You will receive an email once your Paperless Statements enrollment is complete. Please note it may take up to 24 hours for your enrollment to process in our system.

With Paperless Statements, you will receive an email notification each month to your specified email address when a statement becomes available.

To obtain tax information for your loan, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your OneMainFinancial.com account.
  2. Click "View All Statements" from your Account Summary page.
  3. Your tax information is located below the list of your statements.
